Fireworks and lasers, concerts and Formula-1 provide a powerful performance backdrop, but there's tons more to take-in during this "all new" Regatta year. Each day has its own list of marquee talents and engaging things to try and, well, just sit back and enjoy.

With something for everyone, and everything FREE, the all new Regatta 2008 is truly a community celebration and fun-filled festival of abundant entertainment for the entire family.

Bonics on the Bridge—with Kiss 96.1 personality Bonics, plus DJ Nugget and DJ Zimmie fashion show and art corner the Clemente Bridge rocks like never before, with a 5 pm to 9:30 pm dance party July 3... all sponsored by KIA.

"All Stars Strolling Performers"—a collection of old-charm and always delightful performers—barbershop quartets, jugglers, balloon artists-to entertain and amuse throughout both days.

US Air Force "Patriot Pass" Fly Over—military might takes flight with these monstrous jets overhead, 7 pm, July 3.

Starboard-Spangled Sailing Competition—a majestic display and competition featuring Flying Scot Sailboat races with Point of Pittsburgh Sailing League, 10 am July 4.

All-American Bridge Celebration—a more picnic-type atmosphere to this July 4 party on Clemente Bridge featuring national BMX champion Mike Steidley in an unbelievable display of mountain bike stunts, along with a mechanical surf board, interactive games, a health and wellness area and many other family-friendly extras... sponsored by Trib Total Media.

Waves of Grains Farmers Market—local farmers line the street, actually Art Rooney Boulevard next to Heinz Field, in the traditional and welcoming way Pittsburghers love to shop. Boatpittsburgh.com Extravaganza—got a boat? Bring it down! Local boaters are invited onto the Allegheny River to view the fireworks and laser show, starting at 8:15 pm.
